Created in collaboration with Anastasia Stepanova of Astute Studio, NERÓ is a finalist of Ro Plastic Prize 2019. It was presented at Spazio Rosanna Orlandi during the Milan Design Week 2019.
From the ancient greek nērós meaning “wet, damp,” nearós meaning “young, fresh”, nearón húdōr meaning “fresh water”, and finally skliró neró meaning “hard water” (water with a high concentration of dissolved minerals), the NERÓ collection represents the infinite shapes of water. It explores how recycled plastic, aluminum, and steel can be transformed into new materials, objects and architectural elements.
